SUBWAY SELECT
Eastern Washington's Premier AAU Hoops Teame B
Point Guard, #55
Pasco, WA
5'11"
Physically Tough, Lockdown Defender, Scorer
Cayden Cazier brings a toughness to the court that inspires confidence in everyone around him. He is a gifted shooter who once hit nine threes in the prestigious Gymrats President's Day Tournament quarterfinals. He's also a lock-down defender who can guard anyone. That's not an exaggeration. Subway Select typically uses him to erase the other team's best player, but we also move him down low sometimes to defend the other team's post. He's that strong. Just a tough-as-nails kid who deserves everything he has worked for over the last several years.
Cayden started every game at point guard -- as a freshman -- for Chiawana High School (a 4A school in Pasco, WA). He injured himself in the middle of the 2013 AAU season and came back in July to help Subway advance to the championship round of the Adidas Super 64. Unfortunately, the injury later required surgery, and he missed his sophomore high school season. No player will work harder to recover and come back stronger. Although coaches won't be able to watch Cayden for most of the 2014 AAU season, they should keep track of him starting now. He would help ANY team in the country, even if he never played during a regular game. His intangibles, work ethic, and attitude are what coaches dream about.
