Eastern Washington's Premier AAU Hoops Teame B
Point Guard, #4
Issaquah, WA
6'0"
Bouncy, High IQ, "Glue Guy"
A true point guard, Jason makes his teammates better on both ends of the floor through selfless, gritty commitment to whatever is needed of him. In practice and in games, he refuses to take a play off. Excels at creating possessions for his teams through offensive rebounding, keeping balls alive, and forcing turnovers. Often takes responsibility for shutting down the other team's scorer. Jason's an elite athlete with a 35" vertical, 9 1/2 foot standing broad jump, and he runs a sub-5:00 mile. A judicious shooter, he comes in at over 40% from three point range and 50% overall from the field. Assist to turnover ratio of 4:1 during 2014 AAU season. Will score 30+ if his team needs it, or might take four shots while getting the ball to the right guys in the right spots. He's a 3.9 student with PSATs suited for any college in the country.
Jason has not matured physically and projects at 6'1" -- a height which will serve him well given his athleticism. He played varsity as a freshman at Richland High School (4A Regional Champion), and as a sophomore at Issaquah High School (4A, 3rd in state). He has interest from Pepperdine, San Diego, Portland, Army, Cornell, and Yale.
