Shooting Guard, #42
Richland, WA
6'3"
Highly Skilled, Bigtime Scorer, Elite Shooter
Steven is one of the top five players in WA/OR/ID and a major D-1 prospect. He has range to 25 feet, handles the ball like a point guard, gets to the basket, and hustles at both ends to rebound, defend, and contribute in all facets. Since his first game as a freshman, he has started every varsity contest for a team ranked #5 (2013) and #1 (2014) in Washington's highest classification. He earned 2nd team all-league honors and Washington 4A State Championship All-Tournament 1st team as a sophomore. He scored 29 points in the state semis and had 22 points and 12 rebounds in the championship vs. Garfield High School. For Subway Select, Steven dominated play at last year's Adidas Super 64 and NW Premier Showcases as his team won its brackets and advanced deep in each tourney. No player we encountered (including several with D1 offers) matched his all-around skill level. He regularly delivers 20+ points and is Subway Select's go-to scorer.
Steven has scholarship offers from Washington, Boise State, Colorado, and Eastern Washington and interest from Arizona, Gonzaga, BYU, Stanford, Virginia and several other schools. He's sure to gather more interest as Subway Select plays out its 2015 schedule.
