Deadly Inside-Out Player, High IQ, Incredibly Active

Coleman Sparling is a deadly shooter with deep range whose basketball IQ stems from growing up around  a coach. His dad -- Greg Sparling -- heads up the program at Central Washington University. Coleman does it all for Subway Select. He delivers from three-point range, gets to the hoop, and has developed outstanding interior moves. He's a rare high school player who has spent as much time working with his back to the basket as he has shooting from the outside. Coleman is so versatile, and such an outstanding team player, his high school coach asked him to play point guard this year. He went from 28 points in an early season varsity game to double-digit assists later in the season.

 

Subway Select does not ask Coleman to play the point, but he does everything else. We consider him the most under-rated player in the state (for now). He's growing and projects to 6'9". Some school will unearth an incredible talent in Sparling (while no one else is paying attention).

 

Coleman holds a scholarship offer from Portland State and has strong interest from Boise State, San Diego, Montana, and Portland.
